Leader-Led/Self-Guided Programs Explore This!
There are many fun kits for girls and leaders to explore new topics. Explore at group meetings, while at camp, etc. Each of these group resources consists of fun learning activities for girls. Easy to follow instructions are included so the leader can comfortably facilitate the activities with the group of Girl Scouts.

Booklets are free if you pick them up at our office, $2 per booklet to mail. Kits are $5-$10 per box, per week rental.
Topics: The Asthma Awareness Patch Program for Girl Scouts: [Grades 1-12]
Self-Esteem (booklet) Girls explore the importance of positive feelings and the connection between self esteem and success. [Grades K - 6]
Friendship (booklet) Girls look at the importance of friendship and identify the rights and responsibilities of being a friend. [Grades 1-12]
Straight Talk: Communicating with Others (booklet) People talk all the time, and very often don't truly communicate. Girls develop and practice the skills necessary for effective communication. [Grades 1-12]
Mind, Body & Soul (activity box > $5 per week) Girls explore ways to be healthy; and learn about good nutrition, exercise, hygiene. Girls try out some easy and effective ways to reduce stress. [Grades K-3] CentsAbility (kit) Creativity & Me (activity box > $5 per week) Girls imagine, invent, create, design and explore. Activities encourage individual and group problem solving. [Grades K-8]
Confidence Capers (activity box > $5 per week) Girls recognize positive feelings about themselves and build their self-esteem. [Grades 4-12] Fit and Fun (kit) [Ages 9-12] Details GirlSports Basics (kit) Inside Out: Understanding Feelings (activity box > $5 per week) Girls identify feelings and learn to express them effectively; and they learn to identify their individual support system. [Grades 1-6] No One Quite Like Me– Dealing with Differences [Grades K-3]
Bayberry Bubbles (booklet and can order patches) Girls learn the fun and some of the science making and experimenting with bubbles. [Grades K-12]
Bayberry Trails: (trail activity box > Free) This short trail begins behind Crooked Oak Lodge. Discover the natural history of native Black Bears. [Grades K-3]
Celebrate Trees Trail at Bayberry (can order booklet and patches) This 0.75 mile loop trail begins at the Yellow House, passes the pond and stops at various trees. [Grades 1-12]
Coates Martino Trail at Bayberry This one mile trail begins off Dunham Road entrance, includes 29 interpretive posts that correspond to the trail guide. [Grades 1-12]
Eastern Bluebird Try-It (booklet and can order Try-Its) The Eastern Bluebird is a bird of meadows and open fields, and it's the New York State bird. The numbers of Eastern Bluebirds have been in decline in recent years. Girls doing requirements for this Try-It may help provide habitat and increase numbers of this species. [Grades 1-3] Getting Along Without Going Along (New guide - electronic document. Include e-mail with your request.) Girls explore the issue of peer pressure. [Grades 4-12]
Green and Growing (can order booklet and patches) Girls discover beginning botany. Sow seeds, sprout plants, conduct experiments and identify plant parts. [Grades 1-6]
Herbal Cosmetics (booklet and can order patches) Girls create their own cosmetic blends from herbs and common household products to use to pamper themselves. [Grades 4-12]
