Why Volunteer?

Bet you thought you couldn't be a Girl Scout if you've never been one. It's not too late. Girl Scouts come in all age groups — and we want you to have the opportunity to become an adult member by volunteering. Girl Scouts provide girls with adult role models (both women and men) who are competent, generous and willing to share their interests and skills. The girls need YOU as that role model. As a volunteer, you can meet peers with similar interests who share in the desire to participate in a job well done. Not much time to donate? No problem. We'll match your needs with the needs of girls. Participate once a month, on weekends, evenings, during a particular time of year — it's your call. Make it happen for you and for today's girls.

Girl Scout Almunae? Remember when you had the opportunity to decide what you wanted to do and worked diligently toward the goals you set when you were a Girl Scout? You can create new opportunities that will build memories for today's girls by volunteering in your community.  We want you to share your experiences and make new ones for girls. Adult volunteers assist in providing program activities for girls by working with girls or adults — whatever meets your needs and matches the needs and interests of girls. Make new friends...explore the possibilities of being a Girl Scout again. This time, take the lead, and teach girls to develop the same leadership skills you gained through your experience in Girl Scouting.

Find out how you can be part of the exciting world of Girl Scouts. Contact us via the form and e-mailing it to the Council Registrar.

As an adult in Girl Scouts, you will discover the fun, friendship and power of working with girls and other adults. Through a myriad of experiences you will be responsible for enriching your own life while helping girls grow courageous and strong.
