Volunteer Opportunities
Manager
Responsible for recruiting and managing the service team. And to ensure that
girls and adults receive needed resources to implement quality Girl Scout
program within the policies of GSUSA and the council.
Parent Helper
Willing to share skills or talents with a group of girls or lend a hand with
shopping or help out on trips or provide transportation. And assist with other
duties as needed.
Group Leader
Have the ability to design and implement group program with girls to meet their
needs and interests. As requested, maintain records, finances and communication
with volunteers and parents.
Mentor
Provide ongoing guidance and encouragement to leaders and/or adult volunteers
in accordance with the standards and policies of Girl Scouts.
Studio 2B Advisor
A young adult who is interested in helping girls ages 11-17, experience
different activities by girls, for girls. The Studio 2B Guide provides
information and tips that adults can use as they introduce options for girls to
enjoy.
Money Manager
Maintains all records and finances related to the operation of a service unit
or group. Submits reports on time as requested. Attends committee meetings as
required.
Short-Term Volunteer
Supports Girl Scouting by presenting 6-8 weeks programs to girls or assists
with the council product sales or manages the family share campaign or any
other volunteer position for a limited amount of time.
Product Sales Manager
Responsible for training group leaders, monitoring progress and distributing
materials. Assist girls, leaders, and parents in goal setting and evaluates
their progress.
Team Member
Works with the service unit to organize Girl Scout experiences for girls,
provides support to new leaders and ensures that girl and adult recruitment is
ongoing. Supports other team members as needed.
Special Event Coordinator
Accountable for the overall planning, organization, and coordination of service
unit events. Incorporates girl input and involvement in event planning as
needed and submits reports as required.
Trainer
Plans and delivers trainings as assigned using the appropriate Girl Scout
curriculum. Participates in training and enrichment that is designed for
council trainers.
Co-Leader
In partnership with the group leader, designs and implements group program with
girls to meet their identified needs and interests. Helps with record keeping,
finances and planning of the group.
