|
Membership Membership is open to any girl or adult who subscribe to the Girl Scout Promise and Law. Girl Scouts are of all races, religions, national origins, economic backgrounds, and varying abilities, from ages 5 to 17 years old (see Age Levels for details). Becoming a Girl Scout is simple. Girls can register all year round. Once registered, girls are assigned a group that meets regularly in a location convenient to girls and their leaders. It's within the group that girls learn through activities like working on proficiency badges, taking field trips, going camping and offering service to the community. Girls may also register as an individual Girl Scouts. Individual Girl Scouts do not meet as part of a group, but rather complete activities independently. Individual members have access to all council programs and services. The annual membership fee to participate in Girl Scouting is $10. Scholarships are available for girls unable to pay the registration fee. Contact the council office for more information. Girl Scouts is a uniformed organization, therefore uniforms are strongly encouraged, but not required. Questions - e-mail the Membership Services Director: Aletha Rollins |
